ECHO supports capacity expansion by connecting ECHO EX (16 disks) to the unit. Storage size can be increased dynamically, meaning that data can stay in place as the capacity changes and downtime is not required. Additional storage is SAS connected and allows the scaling of a single volume or multiples as required, expansion is easy to carry out and happens instantly using pre-formatted ECHO EX units.
ECHO EX offers large storage sizes up to 160TB per unit, allowing total expansion of the ECHO to grow up to 2.8PB.
