GB Labs NAB 2016 Preview
31st March 2016
GB Labs have a host of exciting announcements at this year’s NAB. Latest developments have led to our software breaking further boundaries to give you even more performance, as well as new intelligent workflow tools.
We will be demonstrating our new multi-layered data protection system, available with our ECHO nearline products. Not only does ECHO have the performance to stand in for your online storage in the event of a problem, but we have engineered extreme resilience into our new model. If you can’t afford to have downtime on your storage, we’ve made it bullet-proof.
Our new product ‘VAULT’ will be launching at NAB – The World’s fastest multi drive LTO platform. VAULT includes LTO-7 drives with 40GbE connectivity making it a real powerhouse. This, combined with our unique HyperWrite technology gives us the confidence to call VAULT the ‘world’s fastest.’ Feel free to disagree until you’ve visited our stand and seen VAULT in action.
GB Labs has been pioneering SSD shared storage for many years now and this year we will be showing our three step SSD platform. The range is designed to serve anyone working with multiple users in a high-resolution environment. Our SPACE SSD is the only storage solution that allows online editing of 2K and 4K DPX files in a shared environment. Options are split by sustained disk performance starting at 3GB/s, moving to 6GB/s and then 9GB/s. If you are wondering which one is best for you, please just come and ask.
At the core of all our systems is our intelligent operating system. The launch of CORE.3.4 is packed with new features to improve and optimise your workflow. An exciting new feature ‘Snapshot’ will allow you to go back in time, allowing you to retrieve projects before problems occurred and restore them. We can even ‘Snapshot’ any third-party storage. We’ve had CORE.3.4 tested with clients and we’re confident you will love it as much as they did.
We will have a wealth of knowledge and experience on our stand at NAB and will be happy to advise you on any storage or workflow issues you may be facing. We look forward to seeing you there.
